Radio-Telemetry and Movement Studies

MES has over 25 years of experience with radio telemetry studies on bats and many other mammal species. We have extensive experience tracking animals both from the ground and the air, utilizing both helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft.

Radio-telemetry is used to locate roost sites, determine home-ranges of individuals, and to better understand habitat use and seasonal movements of various species.

• Capture and placement of transmitters on bats and other mammal species.
